My name is Donna Richards, I created this blog for the one I love, my mother Grace Richards. We can show love affection and appreciation in many different ways, at this time I have chosen to show my affection through this blog.
September 17, 2017, Gracie as I affectionately call her is being recognized at the 49th Annual Luncheon of the Trinidad & Tobago Nurses Association of America, Inc.
I thought what a perfect opportunity to honor her, by bringing awareness of, the accomplishments of the organization over the past 49 years, of which she’s been a member. In so doing, what better method of communicating and exposing this message than through a blog on the World Wide Web, which is the best and the most affordable amplifier today.
In the blog, I’ll be able to honor and pay tribute to my mom, her closest friends who have become my honorary Aunties. I can bring awareness of the organization’s various outreach programs which they have sponsored throughout the years, especially to the scholarship award program, health fair and the International medical conference.
Through blogging I can illustrate the journey of Gracie’s strengths and most of her associates through their medical career.
One of the highlight of the luncheon is the Annual Scholarship Awards, in the blog I can further extend the vision of the organization by reaching readers to further a career in the medical profession.
Gracie and most of her friends were Registered Nurses for the past 54 years, the versatility of the Profession led then in different Specialties of Medicine and Administrative Careers.
The first few blogs will be spent honoring the simplicity, strength and grace of my Mom, through bonds of friendships, characteristics and strengths I witness amongst her colleagues and the body of work achieved by the Trinidad & Tobago Nursing Association. More importantly, all Post entries will show how invaluable a professional career in the Medical field can be today. I would be targeting readers who have abandoned their medical training, I’ll also be highlighting new fields of medicine and various aspects within the medical profession.
Watch out Aunties of the Association and all acquaintances within various aspects of the Medical Profession, I’ll be asking you to contribute your expertise and experiences by being guest Authors of the blog.
I cannot think of a sweeter way to honor Gracie than to have the blog spark a mental connections with visitors and readers, especially with readers who had to abandon their medical training for varying reasons in life . I want such readers to say, “It’s time for me to focus on my true desire, I have to pursue my love for —– in the medical field.”
Time goes by so quickly, 4, 6, 8, 10 years may seem like an eternity. However, when you’re following your passion, your desire or your God given assignment; time becomes your best friend, which allows you the enabling grace to perfect your craft at being the very best you can be, at what you love and enjoy doing in your professional life.
Although this blog is categorized within the Medical Profession. It serves as a catalysis for all with broken professional dreams needing inspiration to refocus and begin to fulfill your lifelong dream.
The blog will be up shortly, it would be my pleasure to have you be a part of this journey as a visitor, a reader or an author; we know that many hands make work light.
